1. • Improve the student and employee experience with enhanced usability through better user interaction, mobile access, and self-service capabilities.

   • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the institution by optimizing the integration of modern technology into updated workflows to leverage capabilities such as real-time reporting, automated workflows, and mobile access.
     
     

2. Modernize Technology

1. • Commit to a regular upgrade schedule  of our core enterprise systems to reduce technical debt and increase efficiency.

   • Eliminate data integrations where possible. Consolidate and standardize remaining integrations.
     
     

3. Transform Processes

1. • Reduce exceptions and manual processing of data by standardizing more efficient operating procedures and toolsets.  

   • Objectively assess current processes against industry best practices.

   • Align business processes with industry best practices.
     
     

4. Secure and Optimize Data

1. • Implement improved security features and user system access, reducing the risk of data loss and breaches. 

   • Reimagine how we collect, maintain, analyze and protect data across all areas of campus to ensure confidence in data accuracy and security.

   • Develop analytics platform to support live data dashboards and real-time reporting to inform data driven decision-making and support internal and external reporting.

The guiding principles for this project establish the expectations around how we work together and how we make decisions.  These principles are a reminder that this is a transformation and to keep the project goals in mind as we collaborate on this project across the institution.

1. Use the system as designed and aligned with best practices developed by the HESS Collective program.

2. Understand that technology is a foundational element of institutional effectiveness.
